THE STORY OF A PHOTOGRAPHER

Oh. My. Gosh. HI!!

My name is Kara Wagenknecht (Kara Wags for short😉). I can't wait to capture your memories!

I picked up my first camera when I was in sixth grade and ever since there's been one glued to my right hand.

I was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa (Go Hawks!).

It's been a dream of mine since I was a kid to live in Colorado. Growing up, my family would go out to Estes Park, CO for spring break or different mountain towns to ski. My favorite place to hit the slopes is Winter Park.

I still can't believe I live in the most beautiful state in the U.S. and living out my dream doing what I love the most—hanging out with the most amazing couples.

When I am not in Colorado, I enjoy coming back to my cornfields in Iowa and spending time with my family, friends, and most of all my puppies!

I am a BIG fan of Trader Joe's and you can catch me there every week. I enjoying cooking and baking (minus a few epic kitchen fails every once in a while). When I am not in the kitchen you can probably find me watching a movie with an acai bowl in hand and a Hydro Flask within arms reach. Black leggings have a large portion of my heart and I am wearing all black clothing 9 times out of 10.

Fast Facts

All day everyday

You will catch me in a hammock 90% of the time during the summer. Blasting music and enjoying the outdoors while relaxing?!? I am also love hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Pancheros > Chipotle

If you are from Iowa you KNOW Pancheros is superior to Chipotle. Panch queso is the best thing to ever exist. My go-to order is a steak burrito with rice, queso, cheese, lettuce and mild salsa OR the same thing in a bowl with a side of chips for nachos

Some people say I have an obsession with Hydro Flasks... I don't see it... This is only a tiny look into my collection. I am saving the environment ;)
